Write scripts with AI, add narration and subtitles, and render videos on your Mac. Free 1.1.0 available now; Montagist Early License: USD 29 once.

Product brands: Montagist / xStudio. Seller: Hidawn LLC. Montagist early licenses are on sale; xStudio licenses are coming later.

What it does

Montagist helps creators research topics and sources, draft scripts and storyboards, produce narration with third-party speech services, arrange media and render videos locally on a Mac. AI-assisted planning and speech send the necessary inputs to the services selected by the user.

Free release and download

Version 1.1.0 is the current free release, available for Apple silicon Macs with macOS 13 or later. Its free access is unchanged, and early-license buyers use it until the paid edition ships.

Montagist Early License — USD 29 once

Buy now and receive a license for the Montagist 1.x paid edition. We email your activation when the paid edition ships (target: by December 31, 2026). Until then, keep using the free 1.1.0 release.

One person, two of your own Macs, all 1.x updates. Full refund any time before activation and within 14 days after it; if we have not shipped by December 31, 2026, we refund you. Model and speech providers bill you separately.

Seller: Hidawn LLC. Payment is processed by Stripe; the receipt shows the seller and order details.

The 1.x paid edition includes everything in the free release: text-assisted planning, speech, subtitles, local media import, remote media search and download, and local composition. Before a remote video is downloaded, you record your reuse permission and the source's terms; downloads without that record are blocked. The record is your declaration, not a legal finding or payment-provider approval. It activates online and renews its license at most every 7 days.

Accounts and local processing

The workflow combines cloud account/AI services with local media processing and video rendering on the customer's Mac. A compatible Mac, product account, provider access and any required BYOK keys are needed. Local rendering does not mean that prompts, narration text or all account data remain offline.

Read the software terms, delivery, product privacy and refund policy before you buy.
